Zero Carbon Mapping – August Blog

by | Aug 21, 2020 | Blog, Food, Zero Carbon Mapping | 0 comments

Liverpool transition has established a working relationship with the Solidarity Economy Association, the organisation responsible for launching the Oxford and Gateshead maps. They have created a bespoke version of OpenStreetMap and are using it for this project. Having trialed it on two pilot sites in Oxford and Gateshead, they have made some modifications before making it more widely available.

Liverpool Transition Towns with Liverpool Quakers hope to be the next site to use the tool and are in discussion about receiving training for this in early September with a view to launching the Mersey Region map in October.

We are beginning the launch with a focus on food. If you know of food or retail businesses or charities in this sector, please pass this on to them. They can get in touch with Jago at jago@transitionliverpool.org
