What is Carbon Literacy Training?
Carbon Literacy is an awareness of the carbon costs and impacts of everyday activities. The course aims to give
learners the ability and motivation to reduce harmful carbon emissions, on an individual and community basis.
How is it taught?
The course is designed to be fun and interactive. The presentations and activities are created to offer a rich
mixture of learning styles and techniques to promote inclusivity and offer the most effective learning among its attendees.
We’ll run it over two sessions totalling 6 hours- in all. hours of Carbon Literacy training. Learners will be certified as
Carbon Literate’ by the Carbon Literacy Project after completing the assessment.
When will it be?
The course will run, subject to numbers, in an evening, sometime between early September and late November.

The Combined Authority Community Environment Fund is generously funding Zero Carbon Liverpool City Region Ltd to deliver free Carbon Literacy Courses for community groups in Liverpool. The course would normally cost at least £90 for each individual and £10 for a certificate.
