Energise Cycles

Energise cycles is a newly formed organisation run by Hollie Burnett and Joe Grant, who intend to work as a charity (we have applied and are waiting on a charity number).  We have set up this organisation because we have a passion for cycling, supporting disadvantaged members of the community, and community cohesion.

We will work with any member of the community and invest in them the necessary attributes and qualities for their biking journey to be self-sustainable and accessible.  We will provide a high-quality service that will empower them whether using a bike for means of transportation or enrichment and encourage them to share these skills in their community.

What we are offering:

  • Quality bike servicing at an affordable price.
  • Recycling donated bikes sell at a heavily discounted rate.
  • They reduce waste and make bikes accessible to low-income families.
  • Doctor Bike Workshops at community centres and events in order to raise awareness, Organise Community rides for exercise and build confidence to use the bike for transport.
  • We offer basic training courses on how to maintain your bike, basic fixes and highway code.
  • Promote positive bike behaviour on roads
  • Community MTB Project in partnership with Merseyside Police, working with disaffected kids. We will teach them to fix a mountain bike (that they will get to keep) over a 6-week period, we feed them and they spend some time with the police learning, and then we all going mountain biking together.
