Permaculture
Permaculture Practise on Merseyside
Born out of many of us completing a Permaculture Design Certificate, many through Workers Education Association courses delivered by Forest Gardener expert Tomas Remiarz, there is energy to explore how to implement our knowledge into practical projects.
There are a number of ways we have started to do this.
Permaculture Meet ups
On March 20th 2017 we were invited to host an evening in partnership with Metal Liverpool Arts Organisation. The event link is here and we also wrote a post about it here. We have been invited back to Metal to organise another event and they are interested in supporting people interested in Permaculture to work with the space they have.
Permablitz/ Allotment Working group
We have also developed an allotment working group of keen volunteers and will soon be organising days and eventually creating designs to implement projects in the local area. Ideas so far include developing a hugelbed project, planting polycultures and observing soil on problem plots. We are also keen to get weeding and help out for the chance to meet up and develop our ideas. If you have a plot and could host a small group to come help you please contact us on transitionliverpool@gmail.com
